Line prints thicker than desired due to narrow line not supported in PPT.
Cause:
The narrowest line style available in PowerPoint is one point (1/72 inch). PowerPoint prints line widths less than one point only if contained within OLE objects or pasted from applications supporting narrower widths.
Solution:
Insert a Microsoft Word object as a line into the PowerPoint presentation.
NOTE: Word supports line widths as narrow as 0.25 point.
1) In PowerPoint, select the 'Insert' menu and select 'Object...'. (The Insert Object dialog box appears.)
2) Select 'Microsoft Word Document' from the 'Object Type' list box.
3) Click 'OK'.
4) Click 'Line Tool' on the 'Drawing' toolbar.

5) Draw the desired line on the screen.
6) Click 'Line Style Tool' on the 'Drawing' toolbar. (A graphical submenu appears.)

7) Select the desired line width.
8) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close And Return to <filename>', where <filename> is the name of the presentation.
